Single Interministerial Fund (FUI)

The Single Interministerial Fund (FUI), finances synergetic R&D projects identified by the Competitiveness clusters (Pôles de Compétitivité), in order to support applied research, product development or services with a Time-to-Market of approximately 5 years.

The projects must be piloted by a firm and are retained via calls for projects (two per year). They have to be previously identified by the Competitiveness clusters and are collaborative, meaning that at least two companies and a research or educational establishment are associated.

The FUI allocates a subvention up to a maximum of EUR 750 000 according to the following stipulations: 45% of the project related expenses for SMEs, members of a cluster, (30% outside of a cluster), 25% for other companies. Necessarily collaborative (at least 2 companies and a public research organisation), the project may concern any sector of activity provided that it demonstrates strong, innovative character and promotes high-tech activities. Furthermore, the project must be beneficial for the French economy. It must be noted that before the filing of an FUI project, it must be identified by one or more Competitiveness cluster.
